Of course I’ll keep writing about J-Pop, and it makes me happy that it won the poll, especially because my life hasn’t been very interesting lately, except for the numerous mood swings and fights, but I wouldn’t want to pollute your eyes with that sort of stuff, so J-Pop it is!

I think I’ll be writing only in English, like how I was doing here before ~12 weeks~, because I guess I made a better name for myself as Alvy from HEART STATION/A2F than Alvy of Utada Brasil or any other place I happened to publish in Portuguese. But for those who would like to read some more by me in Portuguese, I have some plans to introduce to my VIPs in the future (It’s never too late to become one, just leave me your e-mail address and I’ll tell you where I’ll be heading!), so not all is lost!

I think I already have a title for this new project and surely a date set for its birthday! It’ll be an adventure, and hopefully a successful one with a lot more happiness than the previous endeavors!

Hello again!

Next Sunday, my best friend, @carytelio and I will be once again hosting a web-chat over at Stickam, her schedule is still a bit hectic because she’s starting to dance professionally so it complicates our lives a bit, but that’s the plan!

We’ll be on air at around 6 p.m. (UTC -3 time) this time, so I hope to see everyone there! There might be some scheduling conflicts, but I’ll be letting you know if something happens, but until then, that’s our schedule!

EDIT: Apparently, unregistered users can’t join the chat unless it’s through Twitter, and Cary is the one registered and I don’t want her to get messages from people she doesn’t know, so I decided to cancel it, even though it’s been 10 minutes since it began. I’ll announce the results of the polls with my opinions about them soon!

For the last week of the special I’ll be doing something different, and I want to put the people I want to thank first because the second half might be a bit distracting and I want the focus to be all about them! The last, beautiful, amazing people to be featured here are the following:

cucupan: cucupan is so awesome! He supports me with anything new I try out (Including A2F) and it really means a lot! I use his scans for my reviews (When they’re available) and I’m a huge fan of his! My iTunes library is full of his scans. Cucu is also full of personality and humor so it’s always fun to be reading from him on Twitter, his MySpace or through his website.

I asked for his help before I opened my review blog and asked him for some recommendations because I wasn’t very indulged in J-Pop before, and he suggested some really awesome singers that I featured and really enjoyed, so he helped me a lot, including over at Utada Brasil, where he scanned the Boku Wa Kuma booklet as a request from us, and we’re always really thankful for his positive attitude and disposition!

Thank you for everything! You rock, Cucu!

JunniorKopke: I’ve mentioned him several times here on HEART STATION, how I’ve known him from Twitter and how he began the Top 5 albums MeMe from a while back, but from that time on, we’ve gotten a lot closer and I’ve known him a lot better. He’s hilarious and his love for platypuses is the cutest thing ever! We have a good time talking to each other and it’s impressive how we don’t fight over anything, I think it’s a first for me and I love it.

He certainly changed my perception over people I meet over the internet. Before, I thought Raphael was the only one who cared for what I thought and felt even though we met over the internet, but now I see that there are more special people like him who can make me feel like I’m talking face-to-face with them, and one of these special people is Junnior! Our little divo (In training)!

@latinramen: Latinramen is a really cute Hawaiian I got to know from Twitter, and you can check out her website here. She’s learning how to speak Portuguese so every now and then we start tweeting each other in Portuguese and I’m so happy for her because she’s nearly perfect with her Portuguese! It’s always fun to tweet with her, she’s always really sweet.

I’d like to thank every one of you who have followed me through this special because I made it with lots of love, and even though I wasn’t able to follow with its initial plan, I hope you enjoyed getting to know me better and the dedications I made. Some people seemed to be very ungrateful and intolerant so that made me really upset, but overall it was a good project which a learned a lot from.

Now, to the distracting part! Drumroll, please!

Curtain Call

This will be one of the last posts to be published here on HEART STATION.

For these 2 years, I grew a lot, in many aspects, my writing, my interests, everything is renewed from when I started writing back in On Our Way, and lately, I’ve been engaged in some new ideas regarding this blog, like the STRIPPER COUNTDOWN with .nodame, the Albums MeMe, ~12 weeks~, and they’ve all been really fun experiences that I want to have more of, with a fresh new beginning, to start full throttle once again.

I want to kind of become ‘anonymous’ again. I’ll be changing all my usernames and probably restart with a brand new URL (If I do begin another blog). It’ll be a way to filter all the negativity I acquired through these 2 years and begin with everything fresh.

Now, what if you don’t want me to restart and still want to be with me? Well, lovers, you can comment on this post with your true e-mail (Even if it’s something really short) and I’ll send y’all e-mail updates with everything I’m working on and when everything is ready, I’ll send you the date where everything will go online! Para a última semana, eu preparei algo diferente, eu vou colocar as pessoas que eu gostaria de agradeçer primeiro porque a outra metade do post pode distraí-los um pouco e eu quero focar esse post nas pessoas! As últimas, lindas, maravilhosas pessoas a serem featured aqui são as seguintes:

cucupan: O cucupan é ótimo! Ele sempre me apoia quando eu tento algo de novo (Incluíndo o A2F) e significa muito pra mim! Eu uso as scans dele para os meus reviews (Quando estão disponíveis) e eu sou um grande fã dele! Minha biblioteca no iTunes é cheia das scans dele. Cucu também é cheio de personalidade e humor então é sempre divertido estar lendo sobre ele no Twitter, em seu MySpace ou pelo seu website.

JunniorKopke: Eu já o mencionei algumas vezes aqui em HEART STATION, como o conheci pelo Twitter e como ele começou o Top 5 albums MeMe de um um tempo atrás, mas daquele tempo adiante, já nos tornamos mais próximos e eu cheguei a conhecê-lo muito melhor. Ele é hilário, especialmente pelo amor que ele tem por ornitorrincos! Sempre é divertido conversar com ele e é impressionante como nós não brigamos por nada. Eu acho que é a primeira vez que isso acontece, estou adorando!

Ele mudou a minha percepção sobre pessoas que eu encontro na internet. Antes, eu achava que o Raphael era a única pessoa capaz de se importar pelo que eu pensava e sentia mesmo tendo o encontrado pela internet, mas agora eu vejo quem tem mais gente especial como ele que me fazem sentir como se eu estivesse conversando cara-a-cara com eles, e uma pessoa dessas é o Junnior! Nosso pequeno divo (Em treinamento)!

@latinramen: Larinramen é uma havaiana muito fofa que eu conheci pelo Twitter, e vocês podem conferir o site dela bem aqui. Ela está aprendendo como falar em português então de vez em quando a gente se fala em português mesmo e eu estou super feliz por ela porque o português dela é quase perfeito! É muito divertido falar com ela, ela é sempre muito doce.

Eu gostaria de agradeçer a todos que me seguiram por esse especial porque eu o fiz com muito amor, e mesmo eu não ter conseguido seguir com o plano inicial, eu espero que vocês tenham gostado de me conheçer melhor e as dedicações que eu fiz. Algumas pessoas pareciam estar ingratas e intolerantes então isso me deixou muito chateado, mas mesmo assim, foi um bom projeto no qual eu aprendi bastante.

Que Caiam As Cortinas

Esse será um dos últimos posts a serem publicados aqui em HEART STATION.

Por esses 2 anos, eu cresci bastante, em muitos aspectos, o meu jeito de escrever, meus interesses, tudo está renovado desde quando eu começei a escrever em On Our Way, e ultimamente, eu estive envolvido em algumas ideias novas a respeito desse blog, como o STRIPPER COUNTDOWN com .nodame, o MeMe de álbuns, ~12 weeks~, e são experiências muito boas que eu gostaria de criar mais vezes, com um novo começo, para começar com tudo novamente.

Eu meio que quero me tornar ‘anônimo’ novamente. Eu mudarei todos os meus usernames e provavelmente recomeçar tudo com um novo URL (Se eu começar outro blog). Será uma maneira de filtrar toda a negatividade que eu adquiri por esses 2 anos e começar com tudo fresco.

Agora, e se você não quer que eu recomeçe e ainda quer ler o que eu escrevo? My copy of SWEET BLACK just arrived this morning. It’s really cute how it arrived one day (Or a few hours [Because of Japan time]) before Maki’s birthday. Last year I ordered Utada’s discography/videography and it arrived one day before the release of HEART STATION. I’m full of stories when it comes to my international orders.

Here it is! The beautiful, wonderful, marvelous, SWEET BLACK [FIRST PRESS]!

I fell even more in love with the album once I saw it live and in color! At first I was concerned with the cover of the first press edition, but it’s only the booklet cover and it’s still amazing. The picture is very beautiful, actually, and it’s very unique and contains a distinct style of drawing, I really loved it.

The booklet does contain some explicit content, though… Which is very surprising because it looks so harmless, but I don’t understand much of the story-line since it’s all in Japanese, so to me it’s just explicit content, but there must be a very interesting story-line behind it that I’d love to understand! It looks like a very interesting 64 pages to read!

I fell in love with it all over again, especially for Candy. The PVs take a whole other atmosphere when watched from the TV screen and made me fall in love completely with the CD+DVD!

The full review will come out later, and you’ll understand why, when and where this Sunday, as ~12 weeks~ comes to an end!

I’m really excited for Maki Goto’s debut mini-album under the avex label, and I just read some more information about the SWEET BLACK project, and I was surprised to see it goes beyond Maki (She’s the artist responsible for the music of SWEET BLACK, though) and there’s a book and a graphic novel under the SWEET BLACK project, centered around women with who have a SWEET side (Positive hopes), and yet, a BLACK side (cynical mind). The motto is all about living by your favorite things, which I think is how everyone should live by. Even though it’s a project centered around women, I really liked the concept and the coverage of so many areas, so I’m mixing two weeks into one to let you know about my own SWEET BLACK side but still give it a HEART STATION twist.

The Music

Like I’ve mentioned before, it’s really hard for me to characterize something through music because each piece of music is special on its own, and if not for the labels that genres create, there would be no other way to classify music, let alone an artist, but here are 3 songs that represent the past and present of HEART STATION and that I think symbolize the different faces of HEART STATION very well.

Ayumi Hamasaki – HONEY

I think this song characterizes HEART STATION really well because it’s such a bright song, but after you listen to it for a while, you sense a very subtle melancholy in Ayumi’s voice. Then it becomes very clear, that it’s a sad song, even though it’s very upbeat, it’s very bittersweet and I love it because of that. I don’t write too many sad posts, but sometimes I write with a saddened state of mind and it doesn’t show through my writing, but every now and then, you can sense it. Maybe that’s how I can relate to this song.

Koda Kumi – feel

feel is one of my favorite ~12 weeks~ singles by Koda Kumi. There’s so much feeling put into the song, the beautiful R&B instrumentals are just the kind I like in an R&B ballad, and the title says it all, it’s a song to feel for, not in a sad nor in a happy way, just in its own special way. I remember I started to listen to this song a lot some months before the 1st anniversary and I love it since then, it’s been the faithful soundtrack to many of my posts.

Maki Goto – Fly away

HEART STATION just feels like Fly away, I think. It’s a dark song, but something you feel good listening to. Sometimes I feel like there’s a similar bipolar effect here, and I think it comes from the help I get from so many of you. Even though I go through hardships, I still have people to watch out for me.

The Books

To completely give in to the ero-kawaii label, the books that represent HEART STATION are the following:

CLAMP – Cardcaptor Sakura [Any volume]

I’ve published my interest in Cardcaptor Sakura several times here and it’s a great graphic novel. My Sakura posts are able to get quite popular, so this manga collection couldn’t miss out.

Tila Tequila – Hooking Up With Tila Tequila

There’s no way this book would miss out! I was very excited for its release and it was certainly a very interesting read. I was writing a lot about Tila for some time and I was eagerly waiting for her book and her debut album to come out, but the book was first (and so far, the only one to be released), so I quenched my curiosity for Tila with it. I don’t recommend it unless you don’t take this reading seriously and read it more for your enjoyment. It’s certainly a fun read.

Mineko Iwasaki – Geisha, A Life

The one and only book review on HEART STATION! (Which .nodame and I highly recommend!) The author wrote it because Arthur Golden lied to her (He promised he wouldn’t publish her identity in his fictitious book about geishas), and she wanted to clear up the image of geishas and her own as well. I think this book is far better than Memoirs of a Geisha and I highly recommend it!

Nippon444: I first had contact with Julian after I uploaded all the Utada @ Sephora videos I had and he told me he really liked them and sent me a direct message asking me for my MSN e-mail address. I was hesitant at first because I never met anyone through YouTube before, but I gave it to him anyway and we struck a friendship!

He’s a bit crazy, but I take crazy over submissive anytime. This makes for very funny conversations and a good time. He’s been by my side for many of the things I try out here on HEART STATION and his enthusiasm always kept me excited about my own blog, which makes everything a lot more enjoyable! He’s currently fighting against a J-Pop consumption addiction . . . No, not really, he’s fine! I’m glad I trusted him with my e-mail, he’s very entertaining. (HEART STATION is on his favorites list! That’s the best!)

HeyCameron: HeyCameron has always been so friendly! Ever since he started to follow me on Twitter, he’s been of a lot of help for me. We have really fun times (Like you might’ve read in my ‘best of twitter’ post), and he’s also shown a lot of support, and of course, been very patient. Nothing of this goes for granted to me, and I’m so thankful he didn’t lose his patience with me! Thank you, I know it’s not easy dealing with me!

Josh: Shuffle And Repeat is like a celebrity J-Pop review blog, so I was very flattered when Josh wanted to exchange links with me because he liked HEART STATION. And even more that he was a year younger than me and yet wrote so well and had such a popular blog. This boy’s got talent, y’all! He even featured my (neglected) review blog on Shuffle And Repeat because our common interest on Shiina Ringo.

He couldn’t be left out because he’s very friendly and I really like his comments!

Crispy: Crispy is good friends with Carole, Lorraine and Bhavya and was always very friendly when he started to read my blogs. I appreciate his support a lot whenever I write poetry or try something different, he always comments supporting me, so I’m really thankful for that! It means so much when people have my back, and Crispy always lifts up my spirits when I’m down. Thank you so much!

The Girls

EmpressOfDrac: Empress was the first blog-writer I had contact with, through a poem she had posted up on her blog and I thought it was really good, and we exchanged links and it started from there. She’s a really fun gothic enthusiast and we happen to share the same birthdate! She’s always really sweet and has quite uncommon tastes, making her blog really interesting to check out.

.nodame: .nodame is my lover girl. We had such a great time putting together our STRIPPER COUNTDOWN, and she’s always been so sweet and friendly, through her posts and her comments! (Her blog is amazing, by the way) She’s really intelligent, but is still hella fun and knows how to put a stripper songs countdown together! It’s always a joy when she stops by and comments, and she couldn’t miss out on ~12 weeks~ because her spirit is too contagious!

Hyperballad: Hyperballad (also known as Hypy) is the sweetest little reader ever. She’s always there when I write a review on my (neglected) review blog and everything that she writes brings a smile to my face, be it as a comment or a post, it’s always a pleasure to read from her. Her personality and her humor are something really special and her wonderful musical taste too! She’s also really humble and that’s so endearing! You rock, Hypy! Keep up with your positivity and your awesome reviews!

aikorin: Also a super sweet reader! Her comments bring a smile to my face, and she always keeps her blog fresh and the way she writes is so cute and amusing, I love it! ~9 – 10~ SWEET BLACK

Estou muito animado para o lançamento do primeiro mini-álbum da Maki Goto sob a gravadora avex, e eu acabei de ler sobre mais informação sobre o projeto SWEET BLACK, e eu me surpreendi com o fato de que vai além da Maki (Ela é apenas responsável pelas músicas do projeto), e já tem um livro e um mangá para o projeto SWEET BLACK, centrado em mulheres que tem um lado DOCE (Esperanças positivas), mas também um lado NEGRO (Mente cínica). O slogan é sobre viver pelas suas coisas favoritas, e eu acho que todos nós deveríamos viver assim. Mesmo sendo um projeto centrado em mulheres, eu gostei muito do conceito e por abranger tantas áreas diferentes, então vou misturar duas semanas em uma e deixar que vocês conheçam o meu lado SWEET BLACK mas com um gostinho de HEART STATION.

A Música

Como eu já havia mencionado, é muito difícil para eu caracterizar algo através de canções, especialmente porque cada música é especial em si, e se não fosse pelos rótulos que os gêneros criam, não haveria outro jeito de classificar músicas, ainda por cima artistas, mas aqui estão 3 canções que representam o passado e o presente de HEART STATION e que eu acho que representam as diferentes partes de HEART STATION muito bem.

Ayumi Hamasaki – HONEY

Eu acho que essa canção caracteriza HEART STATION muito bem porque é uma música muito alegre, mas depois de um tempo, você percebe uma melancolia sutil na voz da Ayumi. É aí que se torna bem claro que é uma música triste, mesmo sendo bem animada, é bem amarga e doce ao mesmo tempo, e eu adoro isso nessa música. Eu não escrevo muitos posts tristes, mas às vezes eu escrevo com tristeza na cabeça e não não sai na minha escrita, mas ainda sim dá pra se sentir às vezes. Talvez seja por isso que eu me relaciono à essa música.

Koda Kumi – feel

feel é uma das minhas canções favoritas do ~12 weeks~, pela Koda Kumi. Tem tanto sentimento, e os instrumentais R&B são muito belos e exatamente o tipo de balada R&B que eu gosto, e o título diz tudo, você sente pela música, não de um jeito triste ou alegre, apenas de um jeito especial. Eu me lembro de que começei a ouvir muito essa música alguns meses antes do primeiro aniversário, e eu a adoro desde então, tem sido a trilha sonora de muitos dos meus posts.

Maki Goto – Fly away

Eu acho que HEART STATION apenas se parece com Fly away, eu acho. É uma música sombria, mas que te faz se sentir bem quando a ouve. Às vezes eu acho que tem um efeito bipolar semelhante aqui, e eu acho que vem da ajuda que eu recebo de todos vocês. Mesmo eu tendo que enfrentar desafios, eu ainda tenho pessoas para me apoiarem.

Os Livros

Para me render ao todo ao rótulo ero-kawaii, os livros que representam HEART STATION são os segunites:

CLAMP – Cardcaptor Sakura [Qualquer volume]

Eu já publiquei sobre o meu interesse em Cardcaptor Sakura algumas vezes e é uma ótima série de mangá/anime. Meus posts sobre a série ficam bem populares então essa coleção não podia ficar de fora.

Não tem jeito que esse livro ficaria de fora! Eu fiquei muito animado com o lançamento dele e foi, com certeza, uma leitura muito interessante. Eu estive escrevendo sobre a Tila um tempo atrás e estava muito animado pelo seu livro e seu primeiro álbum, mas só o livro foi lançado por enquanto, então eu me deixei por satisfeito com o livro dela. Eu não recomendo esse livro se for levado muito a sério, é mais para o seu proveito. É, com certeza uma leitura divertida.

Mineko Iwasaki – Geisha, A Life

O primeiro e único livro que eu review em HEART STATION! (Um que .nodame e eu recomendamos completamente!) A autora o escreveu porque Arthur Golden mentiu para ela (Ele prometeu que não publicaria sua identidade em seu livro fictício sobre geishas), e ela queria limpar a imagem das geishas assim como a sua própria. Eu achei esse livro muito melhor que Memórias de uma Gueixa e recomendo!

I’m always impressed when I see Cardcaptor Sakura [Season 3] as my top post. It’s always there, no matter how many amazing posts I write, Sakura is always the reigning queen. It’s amazing. When I wrote that post, I got very few views, but then it suddenly exploded into the Top Posts list one week later and has remained there ever since. Every time another post snatches her crown, it’s a real feat… It doesn’t happen too often, and even if another post does get more views, the weird thing is that she’s still on the top of the Top Posts list. She’s that hesitant to lose her place. Not even the STRIPPER SONGS COUNTDOWN I prepared with .nodame was able to snatch her spot even though it gets more views than Sakura’s post on certain days.

Over the 1-year time period it’s been up, it managed to collect over 7,000 views and currently makes up around 15% of the views of HEART STATION. I’m very thankful for that, because it is an anime that I enjoy very much and have very sweet memories of. I used to watch it a lot when I was very small (Like in first and/or second grade), so re-watching everything last year was very surreal. Especially because I was watching it in Portuguese, the language I used to watch it in when I was a 1st/2nd grader. It was truly a surprise that a simple review that I wrote about the anime was able to grab so much attention. If I ever start watching another anime that I really like, be sure that there will be more reviews!

One thing that I like very much about Cardcaptor Sakura is the cheerful, feel-good quality of the soundtrack. Not only in the opening and closing theme songs, but also in the actual soundtrack of the anime. The instrumentals picked to set the mood through the show are just right and take care of their task so well. I really like the opening and closing themes for the second season, though! (Especially the closing) I didn’t like the opening before, but it grew on me:

I’m not sure, but I think these themes weren’t available for the Portuguese version of the anime, so the fact that there wasn’t a translation for the theme songs kind of helped, because translations have the tendency to slaughter original songs. Especially when it comes to TV shows.

The Portuguese version of Catch You, Catch Me is a guilty pleasure of mine, though. I don’t think it’s that bad!

I think they’re both really cute.

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite episode because the show is pretty much surrounded by many mysteries that don’t seem like they exist until they’re actually solved, and this is great, because you don’t feel lost, and yet, you’re involved with the story line. The first season is my favorite, though.

I remember when there used to be a special set of shows called Toonami in the Brazilian version of the Cartoon Network channel, and it was on right when I came home from school, so I’d turn on the television and keep watching anime from 3 to 6. The ones that I most remember are Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon, (Probably because they were the most successful) but there were more and little by little I start to remember random ones that I only watched for several episodes, like Corrector Yui, Super Pig (Even though Super Pig wasn’t from Toonami) and a few others. But Cardcaptor Sakura will always have a special place in my heart.

I used to collect several volumes of the manga (In Portuguese) when I was younger and had all the Clow Cards (Which came with a special Sakura Club magazine), but I don’t have them anymore (The manga and the cards), and in the peak of my Sakura drive, I really wanted to get them back. The first volume, though, is out of print and I’d have to auction it off. The auctions were unsuccessful so I ended up buying the first 3 American volumes of the first season. I guess that’s the equivalent for the first 6 volumes of the Portuguese version:

I’ve read 3/4 of the first one, but put them aside because of school and everything else, but I plan on restarting my graphic novel reading and not waste my super cute American version manga.

Because this week I’m setting up a fantasy mood of memories, who else better to feature other than Lorraine, Carole and Bhavya?

Sakura & Syaoran

They’re the oddest, most hilarious group of BFFs. It’s really hard to describe them because they’re like a mixture of dreamers with an edge that each of them have in a different way. I think it’s better to break them down individually.

Lorraine: Lorraine is so sweet and bitter at the same time. It’s a good mixture, definitely, if you’re on her bright side. I’m so thankful that she stops by every once in a while to comment on my poems and posts, because it surely means a lot! We had some conflicts in the past, but she was also really careful with her words whenever she was involved, and this shows how she really cares about the people in her life! She’s like bubblegum, and you need to chew your way to the fruity interior, and once you’re there, the added flavor will make it worth it!

Comparing someone with bubblegum is so weird. But I think it’s good enough! It makes sense, doesn’t it?

She’s very respectable and knows how to have a good time. She still has a dreamer side to her, and was my anime partner when we were small! We sure have many stories to share from back then and now! And I love it! She’s truly special!

Carole: Carole is more on the cute little friendly side. She makes friends very easily and is also someone to go to when we want to have a good time, especially through conversation. She’s also very careful with her words and this quality makes friendship last so much longer! Because I’m so dramatic and unpredictable, I might end up with a conflict with her as well, but it doesn’t last long because she’s just that social and cute.

It seems like she likes to exercise her creativity because she loves to write stories and drawing. She shares a blog with Bhavya, entitled

and they both write about their experiences, Carole in Brazil and Bhavya in Singapore!

Bhavya: I think that her MSN nickname says it all: Magic Dreamer. She moved to Singapore, but still keeps in touch with us through her blog and whenever we see her online. She’s a sweet Indian girl with a big heart and a naughty side, that’s right Bhavya, we all know it, very open-minded, friendly and supportive of all her friends. She changed a lot since the last time we saw her (It has been 4 years) and we have hilarious conversations.

Just like Carole, she loves writing and drawing and they’re like partners in crime in that area. They have book-long stories together and I admire that, because it’s something I surely don’t have creativity enough to keep up with! Her sense of humor is hilarious and her exotic manners make our times together really funny.

I really appreciate all the support they gave me through these 2 years, and HEART STATION wouldn’t be the same without their kind words! Thank you!

Eu sempre me impressiono quando vejo Cardcaptor Sakura [Season 3] como o meu top post. Está sempre lá, não importa quantos posts maravilhosos eu escreva, Sakura é sempre a rainha. É incrível. Quando eu escrevi aquele post, eu recebi poucas visitas, mas uma semana mais tarde, ele explodiu na lista dos meus Top Posts e está lá desde então. Toda hora que um post rouba sua coroa, é um verdadeiro achado… Não acontece muitas vezes, e mesmo se um outro post consegue mais visitas, ela continua no topo do lista por alguma razão esquisita. Ela não quer perder sua posição #1 Nem mesmo o COUNTDOWN DE STRIPPER SONGS que eu preparei com a .nodame conseguiu roubar o seu lugar, mesmo tendo mais visitas occasionalmente.

Ao decorrer do ano que este post esteve em #1, ele conseguiu mais de 7,000 visitas e pelo menos até hoje, compõe 15% das visitas de HEART STATION. Eu estou muito agradecido por isso, porque é um anime que eu gosto muito e tenho muitas memórias dele. Eu assistia ele muito quando era pequeno (Acho que na primeira ou segunda série), enão re-assistir tudo ano passado foi bem surreal. Especialmente porque assisti em Português, como na primeira/segunda série. Foi uma surpresa que um review tão simples recebeu tanta atenção. Se eu começar a assistir outro anime que eu gosto muito, tenha certeza de que haverão mais reviews!

Uma coisa que eu gosto bastante em Cardcaptor Sakura é a trilha-sonora animada. Não apenas a abertura e o fechamento da série, mas também na trilha sonora do anime. Os instrumentais escolhidos são muito bons e ajudam bastante com o sentimento que eles querem passar. Eu gosto bastante da abertura e do fechamento da segunda temporada (Especialmente o fechamento), e eu não gostava da abertura antes, mas eu acabei me acostumando com ela:

Não tenho certeza, mas eu acho que esse par não foi incluído na versão nacional do anime, então o fato de que não foram traduzidas ajudou um pouco, já que traduções tem a tendência de massacrar canções originais. Especialmente quando o assuto é programas de TV.

Mas a versão brasileira de Catch You, Catch Me é um guilty pleasure meu. Eu não acho que ficou tão ruim!

Eu acho ambas muito bonitinhas.

É difícil para eu escolher um episódio favorito porque o programa é cercado de mistérios que não precebemos que existem até serem solucionados, e isso é ótimo, já que não nos perdemos no enredo. Mesmo assim, a primeira temporada é a minha favorita.

Eu me lembro de quando passava o Toonami no Cartoon Network, e passava bem quando eu chegava da escola, então eu ligava a televisão e assistia animes das 3 às 6. Os que eu me lembro mais são Cardcaptor Sakura e Sailor Moon, (Provavelmente porque eram os mais bem-sucedidos) mas haviam mais e pouco a pouco eu me lembro de outros que eu assistia bem pouqinho, como Corrector Yui e Super Pig (Mesmo que Super Pig não passasse no Toonami) e mais uns outros. Mas Cardcaptor Sakura sempre terá um lugarzinho especial no meu coração.

Eu cheguei a colecionar alguns volumes do mangá (Em Português) quando era menor e tinha todas as cartas Clow (Que vieram com a revista Sakura Club) mas eu não tenho mais elas (Os mangás e as cartas) e no topo do meu vício pela Sakura, eu queria muito eles de volta. Só que o primeiro volume não está mais à venda, e eu teria que participar de um leilão. Isso não funcionou e eu acabei comprando as primeiras 3 versões americanas da primeira temporada. Eu acho que isso é o equivalente das 6 primeiras edições brasileiras:

Eles são o grupo de BFFs mais enigmático e hilário. É muito difícil de desrevê-las porque elas são uma mistura de sonhadoras com uma pontada diferente em cada uma. Acho que é melhor descrevê-las individualmente.

Lorraine: Lorraine é tão doce e amarga ao mesmo tempo. É uma boa mistura, com certeza, se você estiver no lado doce. Eu fico muito agradecido por ela passar por aqui de vez em quando e comenta nos meus poemas e posts, porque significa muito pra mim! Tivemos conflitos no passado, mas ela foi muito cuidadosa com as suas palavras quando ela se envolvia, e isso mostra como ela se importa com as pessoas na vida dela. Ela é como chiclete, e você precisa mastigar até chegar no recheio, mas quando chegamos lá, o sabor extra compensa!

Comprar alguém com chiclete é muito estranho. Mas eu acho que é bom o bastante! Faz sentido, não?

Ela é muito respeitável e sabe como se divertir. Ela ainda tem um lado sonhador, e era a minha pareceira de anime quando eramos mais jovens! Temos muitas histórias pra contar de antes e de agora, e eu adoro, ela é muito especial.

Carole: A Carole já tem um lado mais amigável e fofo. Ela faz amizades facilmente e também é alguém com quem conversar quando queremos passar um bom tempo com alguém. Ela também é muito atenciosa com suas palavras e isso trás muitas amizades duradouras! Já que eu sou tão dramático e imprevisível, eu posso entrar em um conflito com ela, mas isso não dura muito porque ela é muito sociável e fofa.

Parece que ela gosta de exercitar sua criatividade, porque ela adora escrever e desenhar. Ela tem um blog com a Bhavya, intitulado

Bhavya: Eu acho que o nome dela no MSN diz tudo: Magic Dreamer. Ela se mudou para Cingapura, mas ainda entra em contato conosco pelo seu blog e quando a vemos online. Ela é uma menina indiana muito simpática com um grande coração e um lado sem vergonha, isso mesmo, Bhavya, todos sabemos, com a mente aberta, amigável e apoia seus amigos. I’ve been writing a lot about some of the history of HEART STATION and some of the times I spend with my friends, but at least when it comes to other people, I love to know about the tiny little random things that make them who they are, not only what they like to do.

I think I’m one of the people with the most pet peeves and habits. People think they know me so well in such a short time because they know what drives me crazy (In good and bad ways), but I can still be very unpredictable sometimes. Randomness is in my O-type blood, it’s unavoidable to me.

Even my blog is proof of that. I have nearly everything I like here, and there could be more, but I do like to write longer posts, so some details are better left unwritten, so my blog doesn’t turn into Twitter.

I think that the people who know me the most are my friends. I think it’s funny that each of my friends knows things that the others don’t. That’s why the quiz I made about me was so hard. Some are more aware of my habits, others are more aware of my interests, and others are able to absorb everything I tell them, interesting or not. I don’t judge anyone for what kind of information they’d like to absorb about me or not because I understand that I can be a bit in-your-face 24/7, so I completely understand. That’s why I value my friendships so much, and ~12 weeks~ wouldn’t be complete without Laura, Pam and Alice!

Full Circle

I’ve certainly mentioned Pam, Laura and Alice before on HEART STATION, Alice for her vivid, fun personality, Pam for her humor and her writing and Laura for being the romantic little dreamer that she is.

Alice: Alice has been my friend since 5th grade and I love the kind of relationship that we share until today. We don’t have contact daily, and we can still keep a fresh, sweet friendship. I think we have the exact same concept for what friendship is, and that’s why we can nourish it still being far from each other. Every second spent with her is pure fun. It’s incredible. From her witty, humorous remarks, to her sweetness, everything is awesome and I love to got with her to parties and have a good time. Because she’s certainly the one to do so!

We have a series of inside jokes and stories we could share forever and they’re the warmest proof of friends that are too close for distance to take its toll. Of course, we don’t see each other as frequently as before, but when we do, it makes up for everything. Alice is my little sweetheart with a bitch’s heart, and I love it!

Pam: Pam is that friend you can always run to because she’s always there for you, with patience and full of suggestions to make everything better. She has sense of humor, sympathy and maturity enough to keep me in line whenever I go too far, and always eases the process. She’s amazing.

She’s like the ideal human, actually. She’s social, respecting others and always making an effort to include everyone in any sort of place. She’s a vegetarian, lover of all cultures and who’s always trying to be as fair to others as possible. Even though she has all these uncommon, strong opinions and qualities, she can still be the best friend ever. That’s the best about her.

She always gives everything a chance and never judges something without being completely sure of what she feels. Pam is so independent that even we get a bit scared with her. But that’s part of her awesomeness.

Laura: We haven’t been friends as long as I’ve been friends with Pam and Alice, but we have so many inside jokes and stories that time doesn’t really matter when it comes to her.

Laura is that cute little ballerina dreamer with an edge that catches you by surprise. She can be a little autistic sometimes with her little habits, but these moments are so much fun. We have good times, certainly.

Laura is so intelligent. That’s why she’s so witty and that’s where her edge comes from. She’s not afraid to speak her mind because she’s got everything else to support her ideas. She’s a feisty one when she’s after something, she’s also very passionate, and that’s a quality that makes a great friend!

They’re a very eclectic group of friends, but I get along with all of them so well! Maybe it’s because I’m an eclectic group of human being? I love it, though.

Eu ando escrevendo bastante sobre a história do HEART STATION e um pouco das histórias que eu tenho sobre eu e as minhas amigas, mas, pelo menos quando se trata de outras pessoas, eu adoro saber sobre as pequenas coisas aleatórias que as tornam quem elas são, não apenas o que elas gostam de fazer.

Eu acho que sou uma das pessoas com as maiores listas de irritações e hábitos. Algumas pessoas acham que me conheçem tão bem em tão pouco tempo porque elas sabem o que me deixa louco (Nos jeitos bons e ruins), mas eu ainda sou bem imprevisível de vez em quando. Ser aleatório está no meu sangue do tipo O, é inevitável.

Até o meu blog é prova disso. Eu tenho basicamente tudo que eu gosto aqui, e poderiam ter mais, mas eu gosto de escrever posts longos, então eu poupo alguns detalhes, assim meu blog não vira um Twitter.

Eu acho que as pessoas que me conheçem mais são os meus amigos. Eu acho engraçado que cada um dos meus amigos sabe de alguma coisa que os outros não sabem. É por isso que a quiz que eu fiz sobre mim acabou sendo tão difícil assim. Alguns conheçem mais os meus hábitos, outros conheçem mais os meus interesses, e outros são capazes de absorver tudo que eu conto a eles, interessante ou não. Eu não julgo ninguém por optar que tipo de informações eles lembram sobre mim porque eu entendo que posso ser um pouco demais. É por isso que valorizo os meus amigos tanto assim, e ~12 weeks~ não estaria completo sem a Laura, a Pam e a Alice.

Com certeza eu já mencionei a Pam, a Laura e a Alice antes aqui em HEART STATION, Alice pela sua personalide viva e divertida, Pam, pelo seu senso de humor e sua abilidade com as palavras e a Laura por ser a sonhadora romântica que ela é.

Alice: A Alice é minha amiga desde a quinta série e eu adoro o tipo de relacionamento que nós temos até hoje. Não temos mais contato diário, mas ainda conseguimos manter uma amizade fresca e fofa. Acho que temos o mesmo conceito sobre amizade, e acho que é por isso que conseguimos sustentá-la mesmo estando tão longe um do outro. Todo segundo que eu passo com ela é diversão pura, é incrível, ela sempre comenta em coisas inteligentes e hilárias, e é sempre muito fofa, adoro ir à festas com ela e me divertir. Porque ela é com certeza a pessoa certa pra isso!

Temos uma série de piadas internas e histórias pra contar pra sempre e são provas que a distância nem sempre enferruja uma amizade. Claro, não nos vemos tanto quanto antes, mas quando nos vemos, compensa por tudo. A Alice é a minha bonequinha com um coração de bitch, adoro!

Pam: Pam é a amiga que sempre está lá para nós, com paciência e cheia de sugestões para tornar tudo certo. Ela tem senso de humor, simpatia e maturidade o bastante para me manter na linha quando vou longe demais, e sempre facilita esse processo. Ela é incrível.

Ela é como se fosse o humano ideal, na verdade. Ela é social, sempre respeita os outros e tenta incluí-los em qualquer tipo de espaço. Ela é vegetariana, adora todas as culturas e sempre tenta ser justa com todo mundo. Mesmo tendo todas essas qualidades, e opiniões fortes e incomuns, ela ainda pode ser o melhor tipo de amiga. Esse é o melhor sobre ela.

Ela sempre dá uma chance a tudo e nunca julga nada a não ser que ela tenha certeza completa sobre a sua opinião. Pam é tão independente que a gente se assusta com ela às vezes. Mas é parte do elemento incrível que ela tem.

Laura: Não somos amigos a tanto tempo quanto eu sou amigo da Pam e da Alice, mas já temos tantas piadas internas e histórias que tempo não importa quando se trata dela.

A Laura é aquela bailarina sonhadora com uma pontada que nos pega de surpresa. Ela pode ser meio autista às vezes, com os hábitos dela, mas esses momentos são muito divertidos. Com certeza nos divertimos muito.

Além disso, ela é super inteligente. É por isso que ela é tão rápida com os seus pensamentos e aquela pontada vem dessa qualidade. Ela não tem medo de se expressar porque ela tem tudo mais para apoiar suas ideias. Ela corre atrás quando ela quer alguma coisa, e é muito passional, e isso é algo que a torna uma ótima amiga!

Elas formam um grupo bem eclético de amigas, mas eu me dou muito bem com elas! Talvez seja porque eu sou um grupo eclético de ser humano? Mas eu adoro.

Like I had announced before, Cary and I were planning to have a webchat with you guys! Cary seems like she really wants to use Stickam for this, so we’ll be on it tomorrow (August 21st) at around 5 p.m. (UTC -3 time)!
