Melrose is the beautifullest model I’ve ever seen, I loved her since the beginning of “America’s Next Top Model” cycle 7.
The most annoying part is that Melrose is the girl that everybody was jealous of for her confidence, her competitveness (After all, this is a contest) and everything else. Melrose had to put up with all these unhappy, insecure girls calling her names, all the way. In the end, she was always attacked, and she wasn’t doing anything to anybody, like she used to do to Anchal (And I agree with her, Anchal was just annoying), but CariDee, the new Cover Girl (Not newest) should have been superior, and not keep saying that she’d throw up if Melrose was “America’s Next Top Model” and all… Melrose SO should’ve been the winner.
In the last episode, CariDee ripped Melrose’s dress, even though it was accidently in the runway, and Melrose STILL did a stunning performance, and I was just sad that she was going to leave, she didn’t diserve it… Her walk, appearence, confidence and, well, she, were the elements that made her walk perfect. While when CariDee walked in, she exagerated, and when the girls were supposed to be scared, and cross the runway screaming, CariDee went over the top, while Melrose was stunning and PERFECT, the judges really should’ve thought more about the winner.
You all have to watch it if you haven’t watched it in the pre-historic times (The times we live in Brazil) to understand what I mean, and I hope you all agree with me, in how Melrose should’ve won. I guess Tyra has this weekness for models with a sad history, like CariDee… I’m not mercyful, it’s not about if she tried to kill herself, if she had this skin problem, but it’s about the winner, who should’ve been Melrose.
I know I sound like an obsessed maniac, but it’s true… MELROSE RULES! (Don’t worry, Baby C, you’ll always be the #1 model right? After all, they did turn you down because you’d win immediatly and ruin the other model’s self esteem)

I totally agree. I especially hated the bird lady, called AJ, who basically started it all against MELROSE

That AJ person has issues with herself and she’s using Melrose to have somebody to call names and all… AJ should know better, she should focus more on her improvement other than calling Melrose names… Jealousy is a real shameful thing, and it’s not Melrose’s fault that she’s perfect… But it’s AJ’s fault that she’s not.

Comment by alice September 6, 2007 @ 6:39 pmI agree with what all of you are saying. I almost quit watching ANTM after this season because I was so upset at the judges decision. I thought that the Caridee’s runway was a DISASTER and I can’t believe that the judges could make her a winner with a performance like that. Actually, the only winner I really liked a lot was Nicole from Cycle 5. I am just hoping that someone good wins on this newest Cycle 9.

From the beginning I loved Melrose and the jealousy and bitchiness from the other girls was awful but she mostly ignored that and kept her focus. I just could not believe that Caridee won – I was so disappointed but I am glad to see that Melrose has gone on working and doing well in the industry. She so deserved to Win – I was terribly disappointed in the Judges!! Her final challenge in Barcelona was amazing and when they didn’t even comment on the ‘accident’ of Caridee standing on the dress and how well Melrose handled that I really felt that was awful.

The fact that they didn’t even put Melrose’s successful walk despite the dress-ripping drama is really disappointing maybe they didn’t announce her the winner because she was seen as the “villain” while Caridee was the “good girl.” Big deal, right? Melrose’s coldness might’ve made her a far better model than CariDee will ever be!

To me people like Melrose who strive for completeness and perfection are the real Winners, be it in their lives or anywhere. Frankly, I would never pick a cheap class girl like CariDee to promote my product. NEVER!!!

I have nothing else to say because your response was so complete! :3 The judges should also evaluate the attitude of the girls! At a certain point, Melrose actually wanted to be friends with CariDee, but CariDee didn’t care, proving that Melrose can be competitive, but she recognizes other people’s efforts. CariDee, on the other hand, doesn’t appreciate talent and she’s probably too jealous of Melrose to care that she’s even bothering to be her friend. I’m glad Melrose got back to her senses and started hating on CariDee again.

Actually, am new to ANTM, started watching only from Cycle 12. My Fiancee suggested me to watch the Melrose one, out of interest I’ve downloaded the entire Cycle7 from youtube last week. Most of the things are fine and OK (meany, criby, bitchy etc things do happen on reality shows). But I was shocked to see the result, have found good contradictions from the judges. Important to note, Melrose has clearly won the penultimate ramp show in that last episode!! Then, how come she got eliminated? Only judges know that for sure :) Anyway, they lost my good respect because of the Cycle 7 mess.
Last but not least, me and my Fiancee love the superb concept of this show. Just too good and creative…wish someone could do something to stop the same old wine flowing – meany, criby, bitchy etc things :)
Comment by Akula2 April 27, 2009 @ 3:47 amI agree! The show is unlike any other reality show out there! It’s addictive to anyone of any age and/or gender (Well, maybe it’s a bit too much for the smaller ones because of the name calling hahaha).
I’m so rooting for Allison for cycle 12! She was my favorite ever since I first saw her! (Much like Melrose) I’m so glad she’s coming across her difficulties and is now taking amazing shots! Her Carmen Mirando shoot was incredible! She looked so beautiful and her picture was so adorable! X3 hahaha
